Hyatt announced plans for the first joint Hyatt Centric and Hyatt House hotels in Japan.

Hyatt Hotels Corp. hopes to open the two hotels in partnership with ORIX Corp. mid-2020 in Kanazawa, located on Japan’s north coast in the Hokuriku region. The opening will mark Hyatt’s first joint development and first Hyatt House hotel in Japan.

“The opening of these hotels will allow us to meet the expectations of travellers from within Japan and abroad while providing the local community of Kanazawa with new concepts, products, and services that fit the personality of their beloved city,” said Hirohide Abe, senior vice president, Hyatt, Japan and Micronesia.

Hyatt Centric Kanazawa will occupy an entire 14-storey tower, offering approximately 250 guestrooms, a restaurant, a rooftop bar, a fitness centre and meeting facilities.

Hyatt House Kanazawa, the first of its kind in Japan, will occupy floors three–seven of a 15-storey tower. The hotel will offer 90 apartment-style suites equipped with kitchens for extended-stay guests, a gym and a multipurpose social space including a restaurant, lounge, bar and business centre.

The hotels will be easily accessible, located next to JR Kanazawa Station, a key stop on Japan’s newest bullet train route.

One of Hawai’i’s Most Popular (and Controversial) Attractions Being Demolished

If you haven’t actually climbed them, you’ve seen beautiful photos of them at one time or another: Hawai’i’s Stairway to Heaven, located on Oahu. The 3,922-step hike ascends Koolau Mountain Range and has been illegal to hike since 1987. But this has not stopped travelers and locals from doing so, even with a steep fine of $1,000 for trespassing.
