Downtown Scottsdale, Arizona’s, Hotel Valley Ho and its ZuZu signature restaurant became Blue Zones Project Approved organizations — the first hotel in Arizona to do so. Blue Zones Project is an initiative designed to make healthy choices easier through changes in human-made surroundings, policy systems and social networks. The mission empowers people to live longer and better with environmental and behavioral changes.

The hotel incorporated Blue Zones Project practices, including dedicated spaces for employees to take breaks and relax, bike storage, designated parking spaces, daily salad bar, mental health and wellness support, financial well-being tools, self-monitoring blood pressure equipment, social events and gatherings, a committee to drive wellness initiatives, personality assessments, charity and community engagements, workshops, and more. At ZuZu, new health-conscious dining options were added to the menu, with items like Mushroom Bolognese and Power Loaded Sweet Potato.
