The Bridge — Cathay Pacific’s stylish, oasis-like lounge at Hong Kong International Airport — is once again available to travelers. The Bridge is located close to Departure Gate 35 in Terminal 1. Along with a traditional, staffed check-in desk, guests will soon be able to choose the option of a biometric check-in system. Inside, architectural and design features include cherry wood, black granite, travertine and framed screens, along with original artwors from Cathay Pacific’s own award-winning Gallery in the Skies.

At The Bar, travelers can unwind with a handcrafted cocktail or barista-made coffee while enjoying views of the runway or nestle into bespoke Solo Chairs. The lounge is divided into two sides: On the right, dedicated spaces cater to first-class customers and Cathay Diamond members. The Food Hall features an oven-to-plate concept, and international dishes such as beef bourguignon and Provencal vegetable bakes are served along with tantalizing fresh pastries and desserts.

On the left-hand side of The Bridge, cuisine features Chinese favorites, with a noodle bar offering delectable dishes including dim sum, wonton and dan dan noodles. Ever-changing menus showcase other beloved dishes, such as biangbiang mian and braised beef shin with cauliflower. Regional fare, small plates and lighter offerings at The Nook include savory, made- to-order filled bao buns, crispy scallion pancakes, steamed rice rolls and a dim sum served from a custom dim sum cart.

“Our goal was to create a space that feels genuinely welcoming — one that reflects our commitment to thoughtful, human-centric design,” said Guillaume Vivet, general manager, Customer Experience Design, Cathay Pacific. “From the furniture and dining to the scent and music, every detail has been carefully considered to enhance comfort and contribute to a relaxed, refined atmosphere. The result is a space where customers can truly unwind — a retreat designed to enrich their journey and leave a lasting impression with every visit.”

This brand-new, full redesign of The Bridge launches a more extensive project that involves the renovation of The Wing, First; The Wing, Business; and The Deck lounge areas. Plans over the coming two years include Cathay Pacific’s launch of brand-new flagship lounges in Hong Kong, Beijing (PEK) and New York (JFK).
