Hilton announced the signing of the first U.S. location for its new urban lifestyle brand, Motto. The brand launched last year as a hotel concept featuring micro-guestrooms, in-demand locations and more overall efficiency.
The new Motto by Hilton Atlanta Old Fourth Ward is part of an $80 million mixed-use development project, which also includes dining, shopping and residences. The Old Fourth Ward neighborhood is home to landmarks such as Martin Luther King Jr.’s childhood home and the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum. It’s known for its nightlife, street art and local markets.
“The Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta is rooted in culture and history and is an exciting market to introduce Motto by Hilton,” said Tripp McLaughlin, global brand head, Motto by Hilton. “One of our brand pillars is ‘inviting and local’; Motto invites guests and locals in through an authentic and social atmosphere with thoughtful design that uniquely weaves into the fabric of a neighborhood, and this project aligns perfectly with our vision.”
Hotel plans include 125 guestrooms with an average of 163 square feet. Space-saving features include wall beds, lofted beds and multiuse furnishings. Guestrooms link for traveling groups. Connected Room technology allows travelers to control their TV, window coverings, lighting, room temperature and more via the Hilton Honors app. Common spaces offer places to work and socialize, as well as coffee and a bar.
