Hainan Airlines announced the first-ever non-stop service between Las Vegas (LAS) and Beijing (PEK). The service begins Dec. 2 and operates three times weekly.

“With the expansion of tourist activity between China and Las Vegas, Hainan is proud to provide the very first nonstop service to this exciting market. Hainan’s award-winning service and elite experience complement the dynamism and vibrancy of Las Vegas. This is a further reflection of our long-term commitment to our customers in China and the United States,” said Hou Wei, vice president, Hainan Airlines.

The new route is part of the airline’s expansion on the U.S. West Coast, as Hainan Airlines already offers non-stop service to Silicon Valley (SJC), Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle (SEA).

Currently, the airline is awaiting approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Boeing 787 Dreamliners are scheduled to service the route, with 34 business-class seats and 177 economy seats.
