Great Plains invites travelers to embark upon its new romantic Kenyan safari experience. Situated at Great Plains’ ol Donyo Lodge, Mara Plains and Mara Nyika camps, guests enjoy memorable experiences from wildlife spotting to sleeping under the stars. Guests will also have the chance to indulge in in-suite spa treatments.
“Kenya is one of the most romantic destinations in the world because camps like those at Great Plains provide the adventure that guests want, but also with the luxurious seclusion we offer,” said Dereck Joubert, one of the co-founders, Great Plains. “You can be alone but can also choose when to be out doing something great like a riding safari together or getting up close to cheetahs. A safari is a spiritual journey, and sharing that with someone you love really sets the tone for life.”

To start the experience, guests will be treated to a bush breakfast following a romantic horseback riding trip. Following breakfast, guests can return to their suite to enjoy spa treatments together with Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. Great Plains can also arrange for a private dinner that evening, following the treatment. At night, Great Plains offers guests the Star Bed for uninterrupted views of the Kenyan sky. The bed is set up on the roof of the suite and donned with mosquito nets to provide a comfortable and unforgettable night under the stars.
