The Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit in Mexico has a whole menu of relaxing, heavenly-scented reasons to visit. The latest offering is a custom Aromatherapy Massage with herbs and botanicals hand-picked from the resort’s own organic gardens. After a consultation to pinpoint individual client needs, a bespoke blend of oils, herbs and plants is prepared. Choices include spirit-lifting citrus; stimulating and energizing rosemary; eucalyptus to ease muscle aches and pains; basil’s antioxidant properties; calming cinnamon; and lavender for relaxation. Fresh herbs are first chosen by guests, then crushed and finally blended into a neutral oil carrier base to create a custom blend. Prices for the treatment are $166 for 50 minutes, and $195 for 80 minutes.
