Recently announced alongside the Global Business Travel Association convention, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines released new details on corporate travel programs. As two of the country’s largest airlines, this affects a lot of travelers.

Both airlines recently made changes to corporate programs based on the increasingly vocal response of corporate travelers on business.

Delta’s changes essentially extend corporate benefits already received by business travelers to flight partners KLM and Air France. Corporate travelers receive priority boarding status, better seat options and priority assistance across all three airlines.

United, however, made some novel alterations. With the newly announced Corporate Preferred program, business travelers receive awards and benefits based on the size of the company account associated with the traveler.

The program only applies to flights booked on United or United Express through a corporate sales agreement. The corporate loyalty program boasts several tiers with benefits awarded at each level.

United’s Corporate Preferred program benefits higher upgrade and standby priority for guests and preferred re-accommodations for rebooked and alternative flights, as well as preferred seating.
