Dubai-based flydubai will grow its presence in Africa with three new routes to East Africa next month, expanding its network in the country to 12 destinations. The carrier will launch new service from Dubai to Dar es Salaam (DAR), Zanzibar (ZNZ) and Kilimanjaro (JRO) in Tanzania in October. The regional hub for tourism in East Africa, Tanzania welcomed more than 1 million tourists last year. According to the Tanzania Tourism Board, this figure is set to double to 2 million tourists by 2017.
“With the addition of these three new destinations in Tanzania we’ve doubled our network in North and East Africa this year, strengthening our commitment to serving previously underserved markets,” said Ghaith Al Gaith, CEO, flydubai.
