The Sheraton New York Times Square completed a $500,000 fitness center upgrade, incorporating industry firsts and unique complimentary amenities.
The new fitness center offers complimentary services from a staff of certified fitness trainers (a first for a New York City hotel), the only 10-bike Peloton bike room at a hotel and the first customized running and walking tour of Central Park created for a New York hotel by Tour Buddy Apps.
“With industry firsts like our team of trainers and Peloton bike room, we are bringing excitement to the hotel fitness experience while taking the guesswork out of working out,” said Dan McCarron, director of hotel sales, the Sheraton New York Times Square. “Hundreds of our business and leisure guests work out in the Fitness Center each day, which prompted us to identify innovative offerings guests will seek out during their stay.”
The facility is open 24/7, though the staff of fitness trainers is on site 5:30 a.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on weekends. Each is available to share workout ideas and tips and provide guidance.
The 10 Peloton bikes are in a dedicated room. Guests enjoy 24-hour access to studio cycling classes, plus 14 daily live classes and more than 5,000 on-demand workouts. Daily group Peloton rides broadcast on an 85-inch screen.
Tour Buddy Apps created a customized app for the property, with six self-guided running and walking audio tours of Central Park, five blocks away. The GPS-enabled app guides guests through 5K or 10K walks and runs. The audio commentary gives information on notable landmarks, history and points of interest. Additionally, a daily 5K group run through Central Park takes place at 8:15 a.m. during the week and 11:30 a.m. on weekends.

Sep 30, 2026Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
