Finnair is making history this year. The world’s fifth-oldest airline flying today marked its 90th anniversary on Nov. 1. Established in 1923, Finnair offers direct connections from Helsinki to more than 60 European destinations and 13 Asian destinations.
“We build on a legacy of building better connections between Europe and Asia and our vision of doubling our Asian revenue by 2020″, said Pekka Vauramo, CEO, Finnair.
Marking its anniversary year, Finnair has collaborated with Finnish graphic designer Erik Bruun who will design a special batch of posters. The carrier now features Marimekko-designed tableware and textiles in its business- and economy-class cabins. Finnair has also upgraded its on-board entertainment system, doubling viewing options with a selection of 72 movies and more than 150 television programs.
