From May 5 to June 15, 2016, CroisiEurope celebrates 40 years of cruising with 40 consecutive days of sailing upon Europe’s rivers. Encompassing 12 countries in Eastern and Western Europe, the special, one-time itinerary launches in Seville, Spain, on the Guadalquivir and the Guadiana Rivers, and continues on to the Gironde and stopover in the Loire Valley before heading into the Seine, Rhine and Danube, and then on to the Black Sea to port in Tulcea, Romania. The cruise wraps up with an onboard dinner in Strasbourg with members of the cruise lines’ founding family.

Participants will experience a variety of CroisiEurope’s ships, and fascinating shore excursions that take in more than a half-dozen UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Other stops include a visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s grave, wine tastings at renowned vineyards in France including Lafite-Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild; a guided visit to Château Versailles in Paris and the Alhambra in Granada; and a tour of Beethoven’s childhood home and a viewing of works by Rembrandt and Vermeer. Prices begin at $10,900 per person, based on double occupancy.
