Day 1 and 2

The experience begins in the capital city of Taipei; after arrival and transfer to the hotel, enjoy a free day of leisure in the city.

Day two includes three additional stops in Taiwan, Jiufen, Shifen and Yilan, with visits to Jiufen Village, Jilong Mountain Hiking Trail, Shifen Old Street, the Flying Lantern Experience and Shifen Waterfall. Jiufen, in the hills in the northeast of Taiwan, used to be the center of gold mining. In Shifen Special Scenic Area, enjoy numerous waterfalls and the scenic Shifen Station on the Pingxi Branch Rail Line.

Day 3 and 4

Day two will end in Yilan, where day three picks up with visits to the National Center for Traditional Arts, located beside Dong Mountain and focused on innovation and the renewal of traditional arts; Jimmy Park, featuring a square with original illustrations, historic buildings and old trees; and Dongshan River Park, a multipurpose riverside recreation area.

Day four begins in Yilan on the way back to Taipei, with stops at Linmei Shipan Trail, Wufengchi Waterfall, TangWei Brook Park, CKS Memorial Hall and Ximenting shopping area. Relax and de-stress on an approximately 1.7-kilometer hike on Linmei Shipan Trail, before taking in one of the eight great scenic spots of the Lanyang Plains, Wufengchi Waterfall. More outdoor experiences can be had at TangWei Brook Park, before observing the hourly honor guard display at CKS Memorial Hall. Ximenting is a center for recreation in Taipei.

Day 5 and 6

Day five brings another packed, exciting itinerary with visits to Beipu Hakka Village, a dynamic preservation of Hakkanese culture; cultural experiences in Sanyi Township, known for its wood sculpture and regularly affected by mist day and night; Taichung Rainbow Villlage, boasting the colorful artwork of Huang Yung-Fu; and the delicious snacks and shopping to be had at FengJia Night Market.

Sanxia, a traditional district located in northern Taiwan, kicks off day six. Visit Qingshui Zushi Temple, before the pottery town of Yingge, boasting several hundred pottery plant and shops. End the day on a grand scale with Taipei 101, among the tallest buildings in the world and full of shopping, fine dining and other culinary outlets.

Day 7 and 8

Day seven is filled with visits to Yangmingshan, a national park with a large clock made of flowers; National Palace Museum, with the world’s largest and most impressive collection of Chinese art and artifacts; and Shiling Night Market, one of the largest in Taipei known for its varied and delicious foods.

Enjoy time at leisure on day eight until it’s time to meet and transfer to the airport. By the time the aircraft takes off, visitors dream of their time in Taiwan and start to plan their next visit.
