EVA Air MileageLands is offering members big savings on flight upgrades until March 4. Upgrades using awards points on flights to İstanbul (IST), either as your destination or a gateway to other European travel, now only require 50 per cent of the normal amount of rewards miles. This offer is available for both previously booked and new flights. Those who already purchased a ticket can redeem their award upgrade on their Infinity MileageLands account online. Those who have yet to purchase a ticket are advised to do so and claim their award upgrade via a call to the EVA Air reservation office.
Upgrades are available for both economy- and Elite-class passengers. Elite-class passengers will be upgraded to Royal or Premium Laurel, while economy-class passengers can choose to be upgraded to Elite, Royal or Premium Laurel. Under the offer, upgrades from economy class to Elite will cost 10,000 miles (normally 20,000), upgrades from economy to Royal or Premium Laurel will be 25,000 miles (normally 50,000) and upgrades from Elite to Royal or Premium Laurel will be 15,000 (normally 30,000).
Though this offer is only available until March 4, eligible tickets purchased until that point can be used for travel as late as Dec. 31.
