Starting next year, Etihad Airways increases the frequency of its Dallas (DFW)–Abu Dhabi (AUH) route. Beginning Feb. 2, 2017, the route offers four new flights each week, to support the current Wednesday, Friday and Sunday service. The current route was launched in December 2014. Service continues on the airline’s Boeing 777-200 aircraft with eight first-class, 40 business-class and 191 economy-class seats.

“Since launching our Dallas/Fort Worth service less than two years ago, the response from our guests traveling between Dallas/Fort Worth and our home Abu Dhabi and beyond, has exceeded expectations. We are therefore delighted to further expand this service into a daily operation to meet strong market demand,” said Kevin Knight, chief strategy and planning officer, Etihad.

“The increased frequency will provide greater convenience and more options to business and leisure travelers throughout the Texas region, and will also cater to the huge travel market from India and the subcontinent to and from our Dallas/Fort Worth gateway and beyond.”

The service complements Etihad’s current 45 flights between Abu Dhabi and six American destinations.

When the three-times-weekly service switches to daily, flights depart Dallas at 7:20 p.m.
