In furtherment of this cause, the brand recently announced a partnership with Dr. Matthew Walker, author of Why We Sleep, a sleep scientist, and a professor of neuroscience and psychology at University of California, Berkeley. The new initiative promises to “push the boundaries of sleep advancements within hospitality.”

Some of the partnership’s key initiatives include:

• Equinox Hotels Sleep Lab, within Equinox Hotel New York, allows guests to engage with cutting-edge sleep technologies and participate in Dr. Walker’s studies.
• Future Equinox guestrooms will feature sleep technologies in consultation with Dr. Walker.
• Equinox Hotels Jet Lag Reset is a proprietary digital offering with personalized strategies to alleviate jet lag and optimize recovery; this is available on the Equinox Hotels website.
