HAAB’, a new dining experience from Banyan Tree Mayakoba, celebrates Mayan culture and cuisine. Named for the Mayan Zodiac, HAAB’ is inspired by the four elements. The experience begins at sunset, when Mayan warriors escort guests to the intimate dining area, which incorporates water features and four fire pits. During the meal, guests have the chance to partake in the narrative as the warriors explain various aspects of Mayan culture.

Featured cuisine includes Mayan-inspired dishes such as sopes, an appetizer made of fried corn dough, vegetables and meat; suckling pig; fresh fish wrapped in banana leaves; and lime soup with chicken, all served alongside signature cocktails made with local Mayan liqueurs.
