Emirates opened a new lounge at Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome. The lounge is open to all Emirates first-class and business-class passengers, as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members; lounge access is available to Skywards Silver and Blue customers for a fee.
The new lounge, opened just before Christmas, is in departure Terminal 3, Level 2, near gates E22 and E24. The location offers views of the runway and direct boarding access to Emirates aircraft. The space fits more than 150 passengers comfortably.
The contemporary design and feel includes leather armchairs, formal and relaxed seating, a dining area, prayer room, shower facilities and unique artwork. Dining includes a hot and cold buffet, with Italian cuisine reflecting the destination, and a selection of wine and beverages.
Emirates also offers first- and business-class passengers in Rome complimentary chauffeur service and dedicated check-in counters, ensuring a fully luxurious experience throughout the entire travel day.
“The new lounge represents an investment of over $4.5 million by Emirates, and is an integral part of our focus to provide our premium and loyal customers with the highest levels of comfort and convenience, not just in the air, but also on the ground. The new Rome airport lounge brings to 42 the number of Emirates’ lounges, making it one of the largest airline networks of lounges across the world, and we’ll continue to open new ones and refurbish others,” said Mohammed Mattar, divisional senior vice president, airport services, Emirates.
