Emirates will grow its presence in the United States this summer with new service between Dubai (DXB) and Orlando (MCO). From Sept. 1, the Gulf carrier will offer the route daily with 266-seat Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, featuring eight suites in first class and 42 lie-flat seats in business class. Orlando becomes Emirates’ 10th destination in the United States, joining Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA) and Washington (IAD). The new destination comes as the three biggest U.S. airlines — American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines — argue Emirates, along with Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways, receive unfair subsidies from their governments.
