Staged 424 feet below sea level at the base of the ancient Masada fortress in Southern Israel, the Minus 424 Dead Sea Rave will feature two of the biggest acts in electronic dance music: artists Skrillex (Sonny Moore) and Zedd (Anton Zaslavski). Held on Nov. 5 from sunrise to sunset, the wildly popular event is in its third year, with plenty of flash and dazzle. Along with a huge, dedicated dance space, events include pyrotechnics, special effects, VIP areas and extravagant staging.
Music producer Zedd, a Russian-German musician, won the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. Skrillex, from California, holds six Grammy Awards including the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album for the 2012 films Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites. Tickets begin at $58 per person; all attendees must be at least 18 years of age. Shuttles will operate between Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Haifa, Beersheba, Eilat, Jerusalem and the concert venue.
