The first Asian luxury cruise line plans ahead for its inaugural ship’s summer destinations. Genting Dream sails from Guangzhou to two Japanese destinations beginning next year. The itinerary runs April 2–Sept. 29, 2017, departing weekly from Guangzhou before heading to Okinawa and Miyakojima. The ship returns to Guangzhou later in the week. For guests not looking to spend five nights cruising, a two-night weekend cruise to Hong Kong is available. “We are delighted to introduce Genting Dream’s first summer schedule featuring Japan, which continues to grow rapidly in popularity as a cruise destination. We listened to our travel partners and our prospective guests; Japan was a top destination request with its distinctive natural environments, cultural offerings and reputation for quality cruise excursion products,” said Thatcher Brown, president, Dream Cruises. The Genting Dream accommodates 3,400 guests in 1,674 staterooms. Two thousand crewmembers work on board. The ship offers 35 restaurant and bar options. Entertainment includes live shows, duty-free shopping, a waterslide park, ropes course, rock climbing wall, private karaoke rooms and more. The cruise line’s inaugural sailing launches in November.
