Last month, Delta Air Lines again ranked high on the Fortune 500 list in a series of awards and recognition for the airline.
Delta came in 75th on the 2018 list, nearly the same as last year. Fortune said that while profits dipped last year due to higher fuel prices, Delta was well ahead of its competitors in operating margins and profitability. Delta also ranked well with business travelers and sees success with its new Aeromexico partnership.
Fortune also named Delta one of the “Best Companies to Work For” in 2018 for the second straight year and one of the “Most Admired” companies for the fifth consecutive year. CEO Ed Bastian made the publication’s list of the “World’s 50 Greatest Leaders” for his business leadership.
Also named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies,” Delta ranks sixth among travel companies for its use of RFID technology to track customer bags in real time.
