Delta Air Lines Medallion Members now have an option for upgrades to avoid the middle seat in Comfort+.
Before now, Medallion members could request an upgrade, but they could not control which seat they received. After testing the new policy for a year, Delta is now fully implementing it. It allows elite passengers to specify which kind of seat they’d like to be upgraded to, if available.
“Following nearly a year of testing, Delta is launching the ability for all Medallion Members to choose their seat preferences on a flight-by-flight basis for complimentary upgrades to Delta Comfort+, ultimately resulting in a better upgrade experience for this loyal group of customers,” the airline said in a statement.
Passengers who qualify for free upgrades can specify if they’d like to be seated in an aisle, window and/or middle Comfort+ seat. If the request can’t be granted, they can withdraw it.
