A new service from Delta Air Lines connecting New York (JFK) and Mumbai (BOM) will be the only service linking the two country’s financial capitals.
The non-stop service launches Dec. 22 and will provide passengers with more options between the two nations.
“Delta’s nonstop service between New York and Mumbai is the latest example of our international growth as we strive to connect the world better than any other airline,” said Ed Bastian, chief executive officer, Delta.
This is not the first time Delta has flown between the United States and Mumbai. In 2006, the carrier launched a service connecting the destinations. The service was suspended in 2009.
Delta will operate the route using the airline’s newly renovated Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
