This June, Artic cruise expert Hurtigruten will launch a sensational 12-day tour of the High Arctic with the opportunity to sail in the company of renowned environmental photographer Darren Perkell. Participants will learn digital darkroom techniques and take part in Perkell’s field workshops. A day in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland — located less than 25 miles from the Greenland Ice Cap — is followed by an afternoon sailing of the MS Fram. Among the port calls are Sisimiut, Qeqertarsuaq, Qasigiannguit, Upernavik, Uummannaq and its heart-shaped mountain, the Eqip Sermia glacier and the town of Itilleq. The tour wraps up with a day and night in Reykjavik, Iceland.

There are daily lectures, plus activities and daily excursions (weather and ice conditions permitting) including hiking, kayaking and sightseeing tours of fascinating Greenland villages. The ship’s experienced expedition team leads the way.
