Delta Air Lines has expanded its customer Porsche pick-up service to Los Angeles International Airport, New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.

The program provides gate-to-gate transportation select high-value customers. It debuted as a trial initiative at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in 2011.

In Los Angeles, New York and Minneapolis/St.Paul, select SkyMiles Diamond Medallion customers will transfer between connecting gates in Porsche Cayenne S hybrid vehicles.

“Delta is continuing to create new ways to recognize and enhance the travel experience for our most valuable customers,” said Mike Henny, director customer experience, Delta. “By partnering with Porsche to offer unsuspecting pick-ups in an even more unexpected vehicle, we’ve found a unique opportunity to surprise and delight customers.”

Diamond Medallion customers selected for the service are greeted at the aircraft boarding door by a Delta Elite Services representative who escorts them with their baggage to an awaiting vehicle and on to their connecting gate. Each customer is selected for transfer based on a number of factors including flight operation, connection timing and member status.
