City Ranking Shows Leading Destinations for Remote Workers to Visit

WorkMotion conducted a study that looked at the ease of complying with employment laws in various countries, ranking 80 cities worldwide in terms of attractiveness for remote workers. Cities were ranked based on remote working compliance regulations, cost of living, infrastructure and livability. The top 20 cities to work remotely were compiled and given a score upon applying all of the different factors mentioned above.

Dublin, Ireland, ranked best for ease of employment compliance, beating Helsinki and Copenhagen. The happiest citizens were found to live in Copenhagen, with Bern and Wellington ranking second and third respectively. The most favorable tax rates for remote work saw Istanbul rank top of the list.

Here are the top 20 cities that scored the highest for employment compliance factors, citizen happiness and digital nomad visas.
