In order to stave off the summer heat, China Airlines offers special new catering options. The special themed snacks and drinks go a long way to counter the summer heat.

The new options come in line with the airline’s move toward environmental stability. The new lunch, served in a handmade, eco-friendly box, was introduced in July on flights originating in Okinawa. Business class receives complimentary plum juice for the summer months. Passengers in other classes have access to other summery drinks, including pineapple juice, cranberry juice and sarsaparilla.

In an effort to increase specialty cuisine internationally, seasonal airline menus will focus on locally sourced ingredients to cater to the experience of locals.

In addition to the eco-friendly meals and new summer beverages, China Airlines partners with an Italian gelato company beginning in August.
