Rocco Forte Hotels all over Europe welcome travelers to celebrate the holidays in luxury.
Guests of Brown’s Hotel in London will be greeted by delicious chocolates, red ribbons and twinkling fairy lights, inspired by its partnership with Britain’s first chocolatier, Charbonnel et Walker. During your stay, indulge in a box of truffles and a shopping experience in Charbonnel’s original Bond Street shop. Enjoy a Festive Afternoon Tea hosted in the Drawing Room, complete with festive-inspired sweet treats; Christmas carols; and a glass of Champagne, sparkling tea or Charbonnel et Walker Original Drinking Chocolate. For those staying through Christmas Day, the restaurant Charlie’s serves a five-course lunch and three-course dinner featuring British dishes, including local ingredients and a chocolate trolley for dessert.
A short train ride away from Charles Hotel, guests can discover one of the world’s most famous Christmas markets, Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt in Munich, Germany. The market offers more than 160 wooden stalls with red and white roofs, offering handmade Christmas decorations, Rauschgoldengel and Zwetschgenmännle, and culinary delights. Guests can embark on a three-hour walking tour beginning and ending at Nuremberg train station. The tour includes a walk through the Christkindlesmarkt, a visit to Children’s Christmas, Twin Cities Market and more. After exploring the market, head back to Charles Hotel to enjoy dinner in one of the cozy cabins of Cozy Winter Village on Sophia’s Terrace.
Travelers visiting Florence this holiday season should book a stay at Hotel Savoy. The hotel celebrates a Teddy Christmas in partnership with Italian writer Gianpiero D’Alessandro under the curatorship of art critic Luca Cantore D’Amore to create seasonal décor and an exclusively designed Rocco Forte teddy bear. Teddy bears will be on sale throughout the season and all proceeds are donated to Fondazione Istituto degli Innocenti, dedicated to the research and protection of children’s rights in Italy.
Ring in the New Year in style at The Balmoral in Edinburgh, Scotland. New Year’s in Edinburgh, or, as the locals call it, Hogmanay, is renowned for being the most mesmerizing place to celebrate the holiday. The hotel hosts a grand black-tie evening featuring free-flowing Champagne and delicious crepes. Throughout the evening, enjoy live music, traditional Scottish bagpipes and drums, and a five-course dinner where each course is carefully paired with wines chosen by the sommelier.
