Yoga enthusiasts flying Cathay Pacific can now enjoy a session onboard a flight. The company partnered with international yoga brand Pure Yoga to start in-flight lessons.

The airline has a series of videos in Cantonese, English, Mandarin and Japanese, allowing passengers to access yoga and meditation exercises and tips. They can be found in the Lifestyle section of the in-flight entertainment menu.

“We all know that sitting still for a long period of time can be uncomfortable,” said Simon Cuthbert, entertainment platforms and connectivity manager, Cathay Pacific.

“The need to get up, move and get your blood pumping is important during a flight. Yoga is an innovative way to do this. There are a series of exercises that can easily be done from an economy class seat whilst other moves are suitable for after the flight in your hotel,” continued Cuthbert.

The program has six easy-to-follow videos. Pure Yoga’s founding teacher Patrick Creelman and senior instructor/co-founder Almen Wong demonstrate routines to improve circulation and mobility while relaxing the body and mind.
