Castilla-La Mancha’s Tour Brings A Taste Of Spain To The U.S.

May 1, 2013
Daily / Exclusive

Representatives bearing wine from vineyards in Spain’s Castilla-La Mancha region will tour Texas Colorado and California during the first week of June. Events are scheduled for Houston, (June 3), Denver (June 5) and Los Angeles (June 6), designed to showcase the variety and excellence of wines grown in the limestone clay soil of one of the world’s largest wine producing regions.

Regional foods, pre-tasting sessions for importers and seminars lead by Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible (Workman Publishing Company, 2001) complement the wine tastings. Participating wineries include Dehesa El Carrascal, Mont Reaga, Dominio de Punctum, Casa Gualda, Bodegas Cristo de la Vega and Bodegas Tavera.

Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley

Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
