Marriott and Hilton are changing their cancellation policies next year, implementing a fee for last-minute reservation cancellations. Starting Jan. 1, 2015, both hotel chains will charge travelers a penalty of one night’s room rate if they fail to cancel their reservation by a deadline on the day before their scheduled arrival. Industry observers say the change will result in uniformity and a more consistent booking process, while making rooms available for last-minute bookings. What do you think? May 6, 2024Explore Portugal on a Wine Tasting Tour with a Touch of History
