Brussels Airlines added nine new destinations to its daily schedule just in time for the start of summer aviation season. Among the new destinations is Toronto, the capital of Canada’s Ontario province. As the largest city in Canada, Toronto not only serves as an electric holiday city in its own right, but also as a decent stopover city with connections to points further west such as Denver, San Francisco, Vancouver and Edmonton. Both Brussels Airlines and Air Canada, the latter of which is based in Toronto, are members of the Star Alliance airline group.

Brussels Airlines also has new routes planned to closer European destinations, making weekend getaways from Brussels a simple and inexpensive feat. European spots include Belfast, Ireland; the Canary Islands; Nuremburg, Germany; Nantes, France; and two Greek destinations, Thessaloniki and Heraklion (Crete).

To cope with its expanding network of flights — particularly its long-haul flight to Toronto — Brussels Airlines has added new aircraft to its fleet. An Airbus A330 will serve the airline’s route across the Atlantic Ocean.
