British Airways recently announced increased spring service from London (LHR) to popular destinations including Miami (MIA), Seattle (SEA) and Cape Town (CPT).

“We know that these destinations in the United States and Africa are highly sought after, particularly during spring, so we are pleased to be able to offer more flights to these destinations for our customers who are looking to get away,” said Neil Chernoff, director of network and alliances, British Airways.

The increase is part of the airline’s larger seasonal expansions on routes to popular Caribbean and European destinations. Last month, British Airways announced increased flights from London (LGW) to St. Lucia (UVF) and Cancun (CUN) through the 2020–2021 winter season, making British Airways the only airline with a regular, multi-weekly, scheduled service between the United Kingdom and St. Lucia, following Virgin Atlantic’s departure from the route, beginning in June. British Airways also announced increased seasonal, summer flights from London (LHR) to select destinations in Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro and Turkey.

“We know our customers crave some winter warmth as these are incredibly popular destinations. To make it even easier to get there we’re increasing the number of flights to St. Lucia, Cancun and Cape Town from London Gatwick and we’ve put them on days that work well to maximize travelers’ time and annual leave,” said Adam Carson, managing director, London Gatwick, British Airways.
