For the last few days here in Yardley, the weather has felt like autumn. Now that I don’t have to worry about buying school supplies and buckling down for hours of homework, I can wholeheartedly enjoy my favorite season. Autumn in Bucks County is particularly enjoyable, with the beautiful foliage and plenty of seasonal activities. Shady Brook Farm, located down the road from our office, has been displaying a countdown to pumpkin ice cream. This sign is a constant reminder that autumn is right around the corner. I am excited to enjoy apple cider donuts (with cinnamon sugar, of course) a short drive away at Terhune Orchards in Princeton. Perhaps this year I will attempt to bake some autumn treats on my own. Every year my mom and I go apple picking at Snipes Farm, a tradition which we will continue. There are several festivals in the area during this time of year, including Historic Fallsington Day and Yardley’s Harvest Day. Both great ways to enjoy the season and interact with the community.
