Sometimes the naysayers of the world need to be corrected. I had a wonderful flight on Asiana Airlines’ first class to Seoul last week. On board, I dropped my briefcase, and all the contents spilled out. I quickly put everything together and was back to business.

When I arrived at the Lotte Hotel, my home away from home in Seoul, I noticed that my iPad was missing. I thought it must have fallen out and slid behind a seat in Asiana’s first class, even though I thought I picked it up and placed it back in the case. Believing this was the only possible scenario and the the most likely place I lost the device, I emailed Asiana.

As it turns out, the iPad was found at the airport . . . I had apparently not secured it in my case. When I travel, I usually find the good side of people, not the bad.

In Ireland, I lost my camera in a cab in Dublin, and the driver brought it back when he found it. In Montréal, I left my bags with a colleague while I paid the taxi, and she forgot they were in the trunk. My luggage, including my computer, was returned within 48 hours. And now in Korea, at one of the busiest airports in the world, Asiana staff tracked down my iPad.

I hope travelers to the United States have similar experiences!
