Happy New Year!

A time for setting new goals and adventures, I was lucky to share it with my family. Part of our adventures included a New Year’s Sakuraco unboxing.

These boxed gems represented goodies from Hiroshima. I absolutely love that the booklet not only offers a guide to the snacks, but you also get some historical insights on the origins of the ingredients you’ll taste.

This was another delicious unboxing. The biggest surprises:

• Setouchi Olive & Wine Vinegar Noriten: If you love salt and vinegar chips, you are going to love these! I decided to make it my mission to find them at Mitsuwa.
• Miyajima Cocoa Cookie: A light waffle sandwich filled with the creamiest cocoa filling
• Setouchi Lemon Cream Cookie: Similar to the cocoa cookie above, except filled with the zestiest zingy lemony cream filling; I had no idea Hiroshima Setouchi lemons were a thing. As a self-professed lemon lover, I am obsessed!
• Setouchi Lemon Mochi: If I didn’t know any better, this was freshly made mochi. This, too, was filled with delicious Setouchi lemon zing.

That, of course, was not everything, but I think you need to give this box a try here.
