I kicked off Memorial Day weekend with some of the GT team in Miami, Florida, at the Leisure Lifestyle Awards event. We enjoyed a team sunset cruise before celebrating the winners at our annual event. It was a great start to the long weekend!

Once back home in New Jersey, I enjoyed a staycation for the three-day weekend. My husband and I noticed many of our friends and family also decided to stay local for the holiday, so we took advantage and spent time with other staycationers.

On Saturday we visited Collingswood Farmers’ Market to stock up on fresh produce and local goods, including strawberries, bagels, cream cheese and smoked fish. After enjoying our haul back at home, our friends met us to walk to Collingswood’s May Fair street festival. The annual event draws visitors from around the area for the many food, art, music and other vendors. After browsing the selections and making a couple purchases, we made our way to Raccoon Taproom for a round of beers. We parted ways with our friends, then later went to a family barbecue where we indulged in grilled burgers, hot dogs and other backyard barbecue classics.

On Sunday we went on a walk with our family and grabbed lunch at Reunion Hall. The multiconcept venue boasts three separate kitchens, a variety of indoor/outdoor seating, rotating beer selection, a fire pit and multiple televisions. We ended the day back at our house, relaxing in the backyard.

On Monday we met a couple friends in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood for lunch and to wander. We started with drinks at Old City Beer Garden, then made our way to Khyber Pass Pub for a late lunch.

We had a fun holiday weekend, kicking off the start of summer with family and friends.
