Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy lunch at a truly stunning resort on Longboat Key. Our publisher, Francis, and I had heard incredible things about the property, so we decided to try it for ourselves by making a reservation for lunch.

After passing through charming St. Armand’s Circle (another great spot), we made our way to Longboat Key. This was actually my first time on Longboat Key, which made the experience even more exciting.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the valet team and guided into the resort. A gracious host greeted us at the entrance, already expecting our arrival, setting the tone for what turned out to be a lovely afternoon.

After being seated at Riva, the Italian restaurant within the resort, we were immediately greeted by staff requesting drink orders. Starting off with Voss, I soon began checking out my surroundings of beautiful cabanas and the beachfront. The pool was most definitely calling my name.

We decided to order borlotti bean hummus as an appetizer (also a first for me!), then ordered our main courses. We then decided a glass of pink Champagne would be nice, and they then proceeded to bring a bottle to share. It was refreshing.

My pasta dish  was delicious! I always love trying new pastas, and this was definitely a top choice. Everything was perfectly mixed together and was a great portion for lunch.  After our food was kindly boxed up, we decided to order a piece of tiramisu. It was quite tasty and a great way to end the meal. Overall, this was an amazing experience for a local. I highly recommend those local to the Sarasota region to check out this beautiful resort for lunch or a weekend getaway. Those not from the area looking for a stay during a vacation to Sarasota, this just may be your place. I would like to go back soon!
