As I mentioned in my last blog, I recently spent the weekend at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. Beyond my experience at the Lunch and Learn with Chef Jose Garces, I had time to explore the resort and its many amenities.
Lunch and Learn with Chef Jose Garces
This past weekend my husband and I traveled to Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City for a lunch and learn event with Chef Jose Garces at his on-site restaurant, Amada. We dined at the restaurant’s Philadelphia outpost several times and were excited to experience the Atlantic City location. Garces’ original Amada location is celebrating 18 years in Philadelphia.

Daejeon Prepares for Its Iconic Zero O’Clock Festival
Daejeon, South Korea, looks forward to August 2024 and the return of its iconic tradition, the Zero O’Clock Festival. This year, the event is held Aug. 9 –17 with a time travel theme featuring past, present and future zones. I had the opportunity to visit the stunning Mr. C Beverly Hills recently, and I cannot wait to have a little staycation here. It is a beautiful property on the edge of the city of Beverly Hills. For those of you looking for something in Los Angeles close to the bright lights and glamour without being in the center of it all, this property is for you. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed at the bar with a signature libation to help you wind down.The property was at 90 percent capacity when I visited, so I only had a peek at the Studio. It has a loft-style layout, perfect for the business person in town for a few days. You’ve got a fantastic view of the city with your twin private balcony and all the right spaces to relax and get some work done. There are six other accommodation options, which you can view here.
