I recently traveled to the city of Boston for a few meetings with clients and had the pleasure of staying at the Loews Boston Hotel. Boston is one of those cities that can entertain a sports fan, a history buff, a fashionista, a coffee queen or a culture captivator.

Upon arrival to the hotel, I noticed Police Headquarters written across the side of the building. I learned the building itself housed the Boston Police Department for many years. I promise you, though, if the accommodations at this property were conditions in a holding cell, there would be quite a lot of laws broken by this lady! I’ll just stick to dealing with the fashion police, though, since you can enjoy this historic former police station any time you’d like.

The hotel’s interior is posh with a warm yet classically elegant décor. You really can’t go wrong with cool, crisp, perfectly cut marble floors and chic furniture fit for any luxury traveler. The property boasts a healthy balance between leisure luxury and business bliss which made my stay a productive yet memorable one.

My room overlooked the streets of Boston, only a few blocks away from famous Newberry Street. The bed was so plush and the room had a great desk. After dropping my bags in my room and checking out all the amenities, I made my way to the hotel’s in-house restaurant and bar, The Precinct. I enjoyed a hummus plate stacked with fresh olives, tomatoes and feta cheese. The service was wonderful, and the outdoor seating, sunken below street level, offered an escape from street-level traffic with the flexibility to enjoy the fresh air.

When I returned to my room for the evening, a bottle of water and a nice postcard with an image of the Loews brand and a yacht awaited me bedside. Turndown service is a homey touch to make guests feel appreciated, and Loews Boston does a great job of that indeed!

If you find yourself in the Boston area and need a gorgeous hotel where classic meets contemporary style, the Loews Boston Hotel is the place.

P.S.: If you have a furry companion, it is a pet-friendly hotel. “Pawsitively” perfect!
