I think that most global travelers would agree that those you meet abroad often have the most fascinating stories about what brings them there. On my last trip to Dubai, I sat next to a gentleman from IBM who told me about the company’s infrastructure projects in the Middle East and the impacts these initiatives will have on the local people. On the second leg of my journey, I sat next to a gentleman whose company was building communities in Afghanistan and was on his way to support his team after a bomb exploded outside of their building. Beyond their careers, we talked about places they have been and their travel preferences. As with GT readers, their frequency of travel has made them experts on airline routes, seat design and hotel accommodations.   

These conversations made me think of how interesting it would be to have a dialogue with the Global Traveler readers. How diverse their work, travel and experiences must be.   

With this in mind, Global Traveler is very excited to announce in our April issue the first-ever GT Globility Board. Through an application and interview process, 21 GT readers were offered and accepted the opportunity to represent the GT audience by providing perspective to our editorial team and top clients in the travel industry. I had the privilege of leading the project and interacting directly with these fascinating individuals. Check out Global Traveler’s April Issue to learn more about this stellar team.
