A couple of weeks ago my friends and I went to the Philadelphia Eagles versus New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. I have never been to an Eagles game, let alone an NFL game, so I was excited.

Since the game was in New Jersey, we had to get up early to get on the road to get a good spot for parking and tailgating. The ride there went by quickly — I think because we were all so excited for the day!

When we got to the parking lot, we met up with our other friends from New York. We set up the cornhole game along with tables for our breakfast spread and snacks.

We spent the morning having bagels, drinking mimosas and catching up with some friends we haven’t seen in a while; we also took turns playing rounds of cornhole.

Once it was getting closer to the game start, we started the walk to the stadium so we could be in our seats in time for kick–off. We were in the top section, so a little far from the field, but it was still fun to be in the atmosphere.

There were a lot of Philadelphia fans in the stadium, so whenever the Eagles did something well or scored, there was a lot of cheering and high fiving. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was out that week, so the back-up was in. Everyone was a little nervous about how it would go, but Gardner Minshew was on point! I was a happy fan because I have Dallas Goedert on my Fantasy Football team, and he had two touchdowns and put up 28 fantasy points.

The Eagles ended up winning 33–18, and everyone on the team played well. Even though it wasn’t a home game at Lincoln Financial Field, I think we picked a good game!  I can’t wait for my next one.
