Poconos Getaway
This year for St. Patrick's Day weekend, my mom decided to take the whole crew to Pennsylvania’s Poconos for a weekend away. Other than a nice escape from the city, St. Patrick’s Day is extra special for our group as we celebrate my brother’s “gotcha day.” This year marked 31 years since my mom brought him home from Colombia.

A Birthday Weekend
The other weekend, my boyfriend Sam and I went to New York City to visit some friends to celebrate his birthday. We took the train into the city and dropped our bags off at our hotel, Marriott Vacations Club Pulse, and were thankfully able to check in early and get our bearings before our brunch reservation at Bandits in the West Village.

My last blog was all about warm December days and family beach excursions. Well, the recent snow showers in Philadelphia unlocked the urge to escape to a cabin on a frosty mountain to hear the birds and drink hot cocoa by the fire.
