An Unexpected Saturday Evening
If you ask anyone who knows the slightest thing about me what I would be doing on a given Saturday, I’m pretty sure that my activity the evening of Saturday, April 26, would be close to last on the list of guesses. I am not a fan of sporting events, heavy machinery or cars, yet there I was on the bleachers of Lincoln Financial Field at Monster Jam, which claims to be “the most action-packed motorsports event on four wheels.”

Libertee Grounds
Over the weekend, my friends and I went to Libertee Grounds, an indoor mini golf place in Philadelphia. We had a reservation; so while we waited for our tee time, we ordered some drinks and appetizers. We each picked an appetizer and decided to share everything. We ended up with Bavarian pretzel bites, pan-seared gyoza, wings and cheesesteak spring rolls — all delicious!
Northwestern Sports by Lake Michigan
I took advantage of one of the few remaining beautiful Saturdays t0 head to the lakefront one last time. On the way, I took a detour to Northwestern University's lakefront facilities. I spent time bouncing between watching a few sports.

Phillies Appreciation
While by the time I am writing this, the Philadelphia Phillies have already lost the NLCS in Game 7 to Arizona, I still would like to reminisce on my time at Game 6 at Citizens Bank Park. When my friend called with the chance for us to go to the game, I knew I had to take it. I have never been to a playoff game before, and it was what could have been a series-clinching game.
