For the better part of the last two decades, packing was a monthly, if not more frequent, occurrence. As we are all well aware, 2020 derailed most of that, and restrictions continue. However, I am about to pack for a weekend away, and my excitement level is through the roof! It’s just a few days away, still within the state of Pennsylvania, but I’m so eager to discover a new part of my home state and for a change of scenery. I’m anxiously awaiting my husband’s arrival home so we can pack up the car and hit the road — we planned ahead and bought our road trip snacks the other day, and I’m downloading a podcast for our trip as I type.

We’re headed to Farmington, Pennsylvania, to Nemacolin. You may recognize the resort from this season of The Bachelor. While I’m not a regular viewer of the show, I’ve seen the name of the resort in headlines recently and it’s always been on my radar. We decided it was time to explore and enjoy a mini-getaway. On our itinerary is clay shooting, a safari, snow tubing, the spa and dinners. We might try to squeeze in some dog sledding and ice skating before our departure on Sunday.
