Over the past weekend, my friend and I went to Princeton to get some food and walk around. Not more than 10 minutes into checking out the shops, we walked past a place called the Alchemist and Barrister. Needless to say, we were intrigued.

We walked into the restaurant, which in hindsight almost looked like a sports bar. There were a few good choices on the menu, but it seemed pretty standard. I decided to go with the cheesesteak because I am a big fan of testing a new place’s cheesesteaks or pizza.

Unfortunately, when the cheesesteak came out, it was half the size of a normal one and twice as expensive. It was a good cheesesteak, don’t get me wrong, but I have had much better for much less.

It was nice to chat, and the venue was nice. The appetizer I ordered (chicken flatbread) almost seemed as if it was defrosted.

The chicken wings were surprisingly good and affordable, so we had that going for us.

Overall, it was a nice experience and a good one.
