Can you believe it’s the Fourth of July holiday weekend already? I feel like I was just preparing my Memorial Day weekend blog. I will be staying in town this weekend; I took a long weekend trip to Ocean City, Maryland, last weekend, so I thought it was best to stay local and catch up on some rest and relaxation this weekend. What are your plans for the holiday weekend? This week kicked off my newest fitness quest — boot camp. Bucks Adventure Boot Camp meets two nights a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Tyler State Park. After completing my race with Team in Training in May, I missed the scheduled training and fitness regime I had been on, so I decided to seek out another type of fitness class. In the past, I did yoga and I still do Zumba, but I wanted something that would help tone my body. I think I found it, because boot camp is strenuous. Our workouts consist of running, jumping rope, weights, push-ups, squats, lunges and much more. And all of that is only after two classes!
