I was lucky enough to spend a few days in French Polynesia at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora last month.

The property, like the island, is breathtaking. Upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted by Four Seasons staff with flower leis. We were then escorted via their private boat to the resort. The brief ride provides stunning views of the island and makes for an unforgettable welcome to the resort. Once on the property, a member of the staff showed us to our overwater bungalow facing Mount Otemanu.

We were left speechless upon arrival at our accommodations, complete with a private dock for jumping into the water. Each bungalow is also equipped with complimentary snorkeling gear. We utilized the snorkel gear near our bungalow and at the lagoon. In addition to the top-notch accommodations, the resort’s stunning grounds are a sight to see. We explored the lagoon, beach, spa, 24-hour fitness center, tennis courts and all four dining spaces.

While we spent most of our time on the property, we arranged a hiking tour through the concierge team. A local guide took us on a morning hike of the main island through the Valley of the Kings. Here we took in spectacular, up-close views of Mount Otemanu.
