Happy New Year! 2021 brought everyone a bunch of ups and downs, so it’s about time we welcome in a new year. I am feeling optimistic about this year with positive developments on COVID-19, professionally and in all other aspects of my life.
I want to make 2022 the year of fun! I don’t really have any set “big” plans, but there are a couple things I have in the works I am hoping work out. One set plan I do have this year is my childhood best friend is getting married in September. I am looking forward to the wedding; my whole family is invited, and it will be nice to celebrate her love with her and her family.

One thing I am hoping to do more of this year is travel, whether it be to closer destinations for a weekend trip or a longer vacation. One place I am hoping to get to before the end of the year is Walt Disney World, currently having an 18-month-long celebration, started in October 2021, for its 50th anniversary. All four parks are specially decorated, and there are new experiences, shows, rides and more openings/happenings throughout the year.
This summer there are a couple music festivals I want to go to. First is the Barefoot Country Music Festival in Wildwood, New Jersey, which takes place in June. Some of the headliners include Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell and more. The festival is three days and hosted on the beach. The next is another country music festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey: TidalWave Music Festival in August. Some of the big acts include Luke Bryan, Chase Rice and more.
My friends and I aren’t normally big planners and tend to be last-minute about things, so I am hoping if I put the plans in motion we can make 2022 our year of fun and adventure!

May 14, 2025Hotel Van Zandt Review
One step onto Austin’s Rainey Street and you’ll feel like you’ve joined the cool kids at the best playground in the city. Just behind the cottage bars, pint-sized skyscrapers soar. One of them, Hotel Van Zandt, the Rainey district's pièce de resistance, beckons with a song-like spirit —apropos because the independently owned property, rife with music motifs, was named after beloved singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. Sixteen stories high, the hotel embodies Austin’s lust for music, manifesting with a vinyl corner; trumpet chandeliers; myriad musical references; replica vintage posters in frames; and its own live music venue, which doubles as its acclaimed restaurant, Geraldine’s. Don’t miss the mesmerizing installation of colorful origami-like birds composed from vinyl records that flitter from an old phonograph.
